The Company

Williams Sound, LLC, is a privately held, U.S. company located in Eden Prairie, Minn., a suburb of Minneapolis / St. Paul. The company was founded in 1976. We manufacture many of our products in our Eden Prairie plant and supplement our U.S. production with local sub-contractors and overseas partners. We also distribute select products from reputable suppliers that complement our own products, and we import carefully qualified accessory items such as earphones, headphones, and microphones.

Investment Partner

Graycliff Partners, an independent investment firm focusing on middle market private equity and mezzanine investments in the United States and Latin America, has provided Williams Sound with subordinated debt and equity financing, effective March 2016. Graycliff’s investment in Williams Sound supports the recapitalization of the business to support growth opportunities. Graycliff Partners LP is an SEC-registered investment advisor under the US Investment Advisors Act of 1940, as amended. With offices in New York and São Paulo, Graycliff Partners seeks to partner with companies led by strong, entrepreneurial management teams, providing capital for acquisitions, management buyouts, dividend recapitalizations, growth and expansion.

Design / Manufacturing Expertise

Williams Sound maintains an aggressive program of refining existing products and designing new products. To further our international growth, we continue to develop new products that meet the technical requirements of many different countries. Our research and development staff consists of engineers specializing in radio, audio, infrared, microprocessor, and mechanical design. Our manufacturing expertise is in mid-volume, high-complexity electronic assemblies. Our Chinese partner specializes in high-volume, low-cost electronic assemblies.
